Jet2 is a British low cost airline, founded in 2002 and headquartered at the Leeds Bradford Airport. It operates a fleet of 51 aircraft to 60+ destinations across Europe and one seasonal destination in Saudi Arabia.
All passengers must check in online and print out their boarding pass before arriving at the airport. If you do not check-in online prior to departure or do not print/lose your boarding card prior to arrival at check in you will be charged a fee. Online check-in is available from 28 days up to 5 hours before scheduled flight departure.
Similarly, the Jet2 airport check-in / bag drop desks open 2 hours before the scheduled flight departure time and close 40 minutes before departure. The boarding gate closes 20 minutes before departure; any passengers arriving after this time will not be allowed to board.
Jet2 does not have a free checked baggage allowance. All checked bags are subject to a fee. Bags will not be accepted if they weigh more than 32kg.
Each passenger can check up to 3 bags weighing 22kg each by paying the fee during the online reservation process. The fee to check a bag at the airport is considerably higher than when done online.
All passengers have a hand baggage allowance of 1 free piece of cabin luggage. The maximum weight is 10kg and the dimensions must not exceed 56cmx45cmx25cm. Should passengers’ hand luggage exceed the aforementioned weight and size requirements then it will have to be checked in as hold luggage which, in turn, will incur an extra fee.
In addition to free cabin baggage, all passengers may carry on a small bag or item including a laptop or handbag, etc.

The flight was delayed by well over 2 hours with no explanation. On the floor of my seat was a lot of broken crisps and other rubbish.Harry
We were delayed nearly 4 hours because someone smoked in the toilet, & the detectors (or the crew) didn't pick it up before the smoker had left and got rid of the stub. The crew repeatedly begged the smoker to own up, because otherwise we'd be rerouted to Barcelona for a full safety check: it seems detectors can't tell tobacco from other smoke. Nobody owned up, so we were on the ground at Barcelona for several hours. The crew treated us well - but surely, with smoke detectors in the toilets, it shouldn't have happened.maryrowl

We were delayed you one hour overall, 30 minutes late arriving in Barcelona then an issue with baggage admin but we were kept informed of the problem by the flight crew.Junie
Everything ok - not exceptional but good considering it was short haul. Baggage was expensive. reserving seats via online check-in was annoyingly inflexible and made me pay unnecessarily for seats together.Damo

I would like to thank fosia from the call centre in leed as she went out of her way to arrange assistance for my 14 year old son at short notice. She couldn't do enough for us around service....fantastic There epwas a tall blonde lady very friendly on the sales desk at 430 am and she was also amazing. It was lovely being greeted by a wonderful friendly smile. Jazell ( apologies for the spelling) was the lady that took Samuel to the gate and On the flight. This lady reassured me and made me feel comfortable about the flight. I actually felt that my son was in safe hands. Credit to this team of people they was genuine and caring xxSjcb
Brilliant flight although took along time to settle as staff selling food and drink and scratch cards don't think this is needed at 12pm I also think there should be an option to dim lighting for. People that are trying to rest after a certain time on the flightHarriet
Everything went well without complaint only I think you should make it clear when printing boarding passes that the seats that were chosen are the seats on the boarding pass. I chose the seats but when printing out the boarding passes the seat numbers had changed? Also, on my wife's B.Pass it said "check visa" I did check and it was ok but the problem is you mean the visa should be checked at Check In? Nothing was mentioned about this and if it was it would have prevented a lot of problems and confusion.Don't have one
Good staff on a modern plane with small seats. Don't consider buying a beer or you pay almost £5 for a beer the size of a can of coke with the only choice of beer being 'do I want horrible Heineken or would I rather do without'?Kevin2
