US Airways was one of the largest airlines in the world and had an extensive international and domestic network of 193 destinations in 24 countries across North America, South America, Europe and The Middle East, until it ceased operation in October 2015. After merging with American Airlines in 2013, the brand US Airways was then discontinued in late 2015. A former Star Alliance member and Oneworld affiliate, US Airways was founded in 1937 as All American Aviation, and began it’s operations in 1939. Since US Airways’ merger the airlines have together operated 344 destinations with a fleet of 945 aircraft. American Airlines is now considered one of the world's leading airlines both in terms of passengers carried and destinations served, averaging 6,700 flights and carrying in excess of 500,000 passengers each day.
Online check-in
American Airlines offers an online check-in service that is available from 24 hours until 45 minutes before departure for all domestic flights, and 24 hours until 90 minutes before departure for all international flights.
When checking in online passengers will need a valid American Airlines booking reference or valid booking reference. A valid passport will be needed and when applicable, a travel visa.
It is also possible to check in online and receive an SMS ticket that can be used at the airport. SMS tickets can only be used at certain airports.
Once you have checked in you will be unable to make any adjustments to your booking.

In addition to the free cabin baggage allowance, the following articles may be carried inside the aircraft (subject to security regulations): purses, briefcases and laptop bags.
