Gulf Air is the flag carrier airline of Bahrain. Owned by the government of Bahrain, the airline operates scheduled flights to 42 destinations in 23 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe. In 2015 Gulf Air added 2 additional destinations to its flight network, with plans to add more in the future. Gulf Air serves all of its destinations with a combination of 28 modern wide and narrow bodied aircraft. Gulf Air commenced operations in 1950 and in doing so became one of the first commercial airlines to be founded in The Middle East. Today the airline operates one of the largest networks in The Middle East, with twice a day flights to over 10 regional cities from its main base of operations at Bahrain International Airport. Gulf Air is renowned for the luxury service it offers its passengers, which is complimented by its Arabian style of in-flight hospitality.
Online check-in for Gulf Air flights is available between 24 hours and 90 minutes before the flight departs from the respective airport.
When checking in online, passengers are required to provide passport details and the ticket reference information issued when the flight was booked.
Passengers checking in online can choose their preferred seat from an interactive seat map.
Special check-in baggage drop counters are available at all airports for passengers that have checked in online. This is designed to reduce queuing time.
Passengers are also able to check in at the airport for all Gulf Air flights.
