Thomas Cook Airlines is a British charter airline with headquarters in Manchester, England. Its two main bases are at Manchester and London Gatwick airports. With a fleet of 30+ Airbus and Boeing aircraft, it operates to destinations across Africa, America, Asia and Europe.
Passengers can check-in online from 48 hours up to 25 hours prior to scheduled flight departure. This service is only available to UK departure airports and limited to a small number of their destination airports. Further information is available on their website. Online check-in is not available for long-haul flights.
Passengers are permitted one item of hand luggage with a maximum weight of 6kg and up to 55cm x 40cm x 20cm in size. In addition, they are entitled to carry aboard Thomas Airlines flights an extra item of hand baggage including a laptop, coat, camera, umbrella, etc.
There are no size restrictions on checked baggage. There is a free hold luggage allowance on flights to the USA (23kg included in fare) and starting in May 2015, all long-haul flights will include 20kg of free checked baggage. All other flights do not include a free hold luggage allowance. Passengers travelling on the same booking and that have purchased a hold luggage allowance may combine the allowance as long as no individual piece exceeds 30kg (not applicable on flights to the USA).

Initial return flight was overbooked so we were offered an alternative at the same cost. When we received flight details and boarding passes they were for the original flights and it proved difficult to obtain the details we needed when we called for assistance.
The return journey wasn't a good experience.
Flight was faster than expected in both directions. Cabin attendants were very good. Leg room was a bit tight.

I will never travel with Thomas cook again they’re the biggest thief’s I’ve payed for luggage in here and they make me pay again in the way back
The flight was delayed. On top of that they checked the hand luggages one by one at the gate and charged the passengers extra if their handbag was more than 6kg, which delayed the flight even more. The boarding took ages as there was a long queue of passengers who had to pay. Everyone was frustrated. Not a great way to start your holidays.
An excellent service and price for an emergency trip home due to a terrible holiday destination. Our flight attendant (Jac) provided fantastic customer care and deserves recognition
Never again, they changed our connecting flight after booking. Guaranteed we'd make connection....we didn't having spent 3 hours at passport control queue. They booked us onto a flight 22 hours later with no further help or assistance managed to get internet connection and cost us £250 to book a nearby hotel for the night disgusting treatment, will never fly with Thomas cook again and am making sure all family and friends are aware too
