What to Do in Tokyo

- Meiji Shrine: This is Tokyo’s most famous Shinto shrine and worth visiting for its magnificent architecture, internal décor and interesting Shinto ceremonies. It's located in Shibuya district and open to visitors as well as Shinto devotees.

What to Visit Around Tokyo
Thanks to Tokyo excellent transport systems, you can easily venture out of the city. Trips to some interesting places are easily arranged during your holiday in Tokyo. The famous port city of Yokohama can easily be reached by train from central Tokyo in around 30 minutes. Don’t miss out on some great harbour views from the 348-foot Yokohama Marine Tower. If you have time, you can also visit the permanently docked ship, Hikawa Maru. It’s a retired ocean liner and World War II survivor, now serving as a floating restaurant and museum in Yokohama Harbour.
Lake Kawaguchi is a beautiful lake with terrific views of Mount Fuji. You can take a bus from Shinjuku Bus Station. Another great day trip is to the Giant Buddha of Kamakura, a massive and ancient bronze statue of Buddha. Kamakura, is south of the city and easily reached in an hour by bus.
