Keep these quick checks in mind to cut the cost of your trip to Hotan:

• Flexible dates: look at a handful of departure days before settling on one. Shifting your trip by a day in either direction can sometimes bring the fare down noticeably.
• Nearby airports: it's worth comparing the alternatives. An airport a little further from Hotan can sometimes work out cheaper than flying into the main one.
• Baggage: check exactly what's included in each fare before you commit. Knowing your allowance upfront means no surprise costs when you reach the airport.

Before you fly, look into the entry requirements for China and allow plenty of time to get any documents sorted.

One more thing: booking a hotel alongside your flight unlocks exclusive discounts on your stay, and adding a hire car to the same booking can bring further savings when combined with your flights and accommodation.
