It still confuses me. I can’t understand the map of the airport so I get lost a lot. Could an idiots guide be available on the paperwork showing how to navigate through the various processes? Or perhaps lines to follow on the floor? Or people ? (as above at checking in question)

The difference between Helsinki Airport and Heathrow is massive. Helsinki is efficient easy and most importantly the staff at each point are courteous and helpful. Heathrow.... just the opposite! And the worst part was passing through Airport Security. Staff were disorganised rude and pedantic. They threw out several bottles of brand-new shampoos conditioners and lotions despite the fact they were in 100ml bottles and sealed inside a plastic bag. There was no need for that. At one point the agent -- just to be nasty -- then demanded I add my vape liquids to this tiny clear plastic bag which meant she got to throw out even more of my liquids. You could tell she was enjoying it. I was travelling to Finland for 9 days so I had to bring enough of these items to last me for the trip. I'm a middle-aged Western woman going to a heavy metal festival in Helsinki. It should have been bloody obvious to the security agent that I'm not a terrorist or hijacker! She didn't need to be so pedantic. Helsinki Airport didn't put me through this! I passed through THEIR Security Control with no questions and only REASONABLE searches through my bags -- and they didn't feel the need to throw out any of my belongings! Heathrow Security should be better at profiling potential risks. I am NOT the type.
