Corfu is an odyssey of sparkling coastline, beaches fringed by olive and pine trees, historical treasures and inviting towns. If you are seeking sun and relaxation, the pristine beaches offer visitors plenty of opportunity to kick-back and soak up the sun, while if nature is your thing, inland the lesser explored interior of the island reveals rugged hillsides, olive groves and lush farmland. History buffs will enjoy discovering the Venetian Corfu Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site brimming with old monuments, palaces, fortresses and narrow cobbled lanes. The island also boasts stunning sunsets, which are well accompanied by a meal at a family run taverna and a glass or more of locally produced wine.
