Airports in Europe - Rating of taxis

I had a relatively early flight, and had to be in the airport at 5 pm, but there was no means of public transportation that I could find out about, so was forced to pay for a taxi- I would have liked to avoid that. In most capitals you have transportation running from about 4, 5 am- could this be used at least for the airport? Also, I arrived there at 5 am only to find out that my flight had been pushed 3 hours ahead. I urgently needed to announce this to my office back home, and as it was too early to reach anyone by phone before my plane left, so I looked for an internet connection. The aiport has dismantled all public access computers, so only someone with a smartphone or their own computer can actually access internet. This is quite an exception from any other aiport where I´ve personally been, and it left me with the impression that Lisbon aiport is either discriminating against their guests, or is simply not prepared to offer quality services ( I find internet access to be essential for any traveller, while carrying a computer when travelling is a question of traveller´s option and not a self-understood condition). Due to this, and due to the delay and confusion that followed in announcing it, I found my stay in the airport to be stressful and unpleasant. In general I would rate it as a second-rate aiport.

Very nice, modern airport, plenty to do and see while waiting. Good access from taxi or car parks

the airport is clean, even the toilets, the attendants are friendly and can speak english. you can take a direct bus from the airport to Kiev centre with a comfortable bus. the wifi which is everywhere at the airport is free. the food and coffee excellent and good value for money. there are 2 money exchange places in the building. lots of taxis, but they are overcharging in general.
