tip for smokers - there is this small restaurant that allows smoking even though doing so indoors is not allowed. Good for when travelling long distances and when not enough time is had to go outside. Expect to consume something at the establishment in order to do so

Firstly an umbrella was taken away from me by security. This is not a policy adopted by any other airport I have been to and my suspicion was that the security official was simply profiteering from his position. An umbrella is not considered to be a dangerous item. Secondly, all liquids bought after having passed through security were confiscated before entering the aeroplane. Liquids bought after security should be permitted to be carried as hand luggage. Alternatively, if there is a danger that such liquids could be used as explosives, they should not be being sold in an airport.
