Wizz Air, also written wizzair, is a Hungarian low cost airline with headquarters at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The company was founded in 2003 in London. The Hungarian airline operates low cost flights to 66 destinations in Europe and Asia. Similar to the budget carrier Ryanair, Wizz Air prefers to fly to smaller, secondary airports outside of larger cities.
Web check-in is available from 14 days to 3 hours before scheduled flight departure. If you want to check-in at the airport you will have to choose that option during booking and pay a fee of €10. If you do not pay this fee and arrive at the airport without your boarding pass you will be charged a higher fee of €20 to check-in.
Passengers who have checked-in online and are traveling with checked baggage, must present themselves at the baggage drop-off counter at least 40 minutes before scheduled flight departure. If you arrive at the bag drop-off counter and you do not have your printed boarding pass you will have to pay a €40 boarding pass re-issue fee.
All Wizz Air passengers must present valid travel documents at check-in. Passengers flying within the EU with non-EU travel documents must present themselves at the Wizz Air check-in desks to have their documents checked and stamped before flying. Non-EU passengers without the stamp will not be allowed to board.
To check baggage with Wizz Air there is an extra fee. Passengers can check up to 6 bags with a maximum weight of 32kg each. Prices are significantly lower when you pay for checked luggage online instead of at the airport. Prices to check bags vary depending upon the flight time. For exact pricing information, visit the Wizz Air website.
All passengers are allowed one small piece of cabin baggage to fit under the seat in front of them with maximum dimensions 42 x 32 x 25cm. For €10 passengers may bring a larger piece of cabin baggage to place in the overhead compartment with maximum dimensions of 56 x 45 x 25cm.

So bad services. I paid for cabin bag but still I have to pay extra money 40+40 go and return. I contact with them but didn't get solution. And the luggage is broken but didn't get any solution. It's my bad travel in my life .Biserka
You charged me close to £30 more than I would have paid if I had simply booked with the airline directly. Screw you.Jill
It was the worst experience in my life.I will never ever will use your services and wouldn't recommend to anyone.Wizzar airlines playing games whit people time,money...no respect what so ever. How can you over loud the plain? How can you sell the seats which already sold? How can you tell the passenger he might not get on the plain?I'm disgusting Wizzar airlines.....people don't use this air lines.noone
Wizz Air is the worst airline ever, I prefer to walk to my next destination rather than using this airline again. Due to a malfunction in the website I wasn't able to check before the flight and the level of incomprehension and the non sympathy is shown big time by the airline employees and the airline policies itself. I'm so no using this airline ever again.Ios
I enjoyed the flight everything was as I expected and I will be travaling with you in the fetcher hope you give discount cards out thanksnot got one
I did not like and not understand why I had to pay cabin baggage. OK,is LARGE BUT other FLIGHT companies did not pay.ileana
Awesome experience.....cool and calm flight.....very nice aircraft.....but its expensive.... Overall it goodAmir
Really bad service from wizz air never ever go again with wizz air if have choice give 0 star so I will happy to give wizz air 0 star. Thank you!Kiani
Both flights were late; the first by 1hr1/2 coming into Luton and therefore 1hr late at Craiova. The flight on Friday was 1/2 late coming into and taking off from Craiova. Hence I missed my coach connection at Luton for Birmingham and had to pay £5 for a new ticket and then wait another 1hr1/2 for the next coach. I've previously travelled to Craiova and back again earlier in the day and had no problems with flight delays, so, consequently, I'm thinking you have problems with late flights! I'm also disappointed that there were no flights this year on a Mon or Sat and those are the days I previously travelled!!Mrs Joyce Hayward
return flight was delayed by 15 min no real big problem and they kept us well informed I would rather pay more just to be a little more comfortable. Seats uncomfortable, crew very friendly and helpfulnev
Would never fly wizz air again. Had to pay extra 55 euros total for a small carry-on size bag that barely fit my stuff for 5 days. So with the extra 55 euros I paid in baggage charges, I should have just flown El Al to Prague and I would have had free check in baggage and free food and drinks.TopGunner777
I found the flight out in an obviously very old plane extremely cramped and uncomfortable although the return flight was much better (clearly a newer plane).Patsy
Unbelievable how the l bagadge was handled. Just had bought a brand new back for going away and it was ruined. Shows that the people that work there don't care about customers. If I had something more fragile would have been broken. Very very unhappy with the servicelgargasiene
I had to pay extra to Wizz air because I was unable to register my suitcase. They have to make their software easier to enable registration. Ryannair was easier though not easy. May be it is deliberate for extra income. Stanstead is pretty chaotic, Budapest much better. Luton will be good once they finish rebuilding. Some open air approach to planes which could be uncomfortable in rain and cold weather. I do not eat American fast food. Catering facilities could be improved especially in Budapest.Peter Kaldor
I had to pay 27 £ at Luton to Wizzair company because I didn't checked online prior to the flight and they charged me. I never had those issues with any other company and I was able to check in prior to my flight. It is a very cheeky way of ripping the clients and very fast way to loosing potential customers.Andy
Left almost on time and arrived slightly early on stand. Luton Airport is a mess and difficult to navigate through as a first-time Wizz-Air flier. The purchase of Priority Boarding was well worth it for the extra carry-on item. I paid in advance for this and for a large carry-on case but received my receipt in Hungarian so I cannot make head nor tail of it as it uses Euros as the cost base.Jonathan
you made me pay 40€ for my baggage even though it did not exceed your limits! Your staff only claimed it "looked" too big. not coolConstantin
Charging someone £30 for a check in is absolutely disgraceful, insulting and a general farce! Furious!none
Wizz air.com. We will never travel with them again. Absolutely awful experience never to be repeated thankfully.Andy
The flight was delayed by 2 hours. Even though, when the plan was finally ready, the crew got everyone on board swiftly so that there were no further delays.Mrs D
