Wizz Air, also written wizzair, is a Hungarian low cost airline with headquarters at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The company was founded in 2003 in London. The Hungarian airline operates low cost flights to 66 destinations in Europe and Asia. Similar to the budget carrier Ryanair, Wizz Air prefers to fly to smaller, secondary airports outside of larger cities.
Web check-in is available from 14 days to 3 hours before scheduled flight departure. If you want to check-in at the airport you will have to choose that option during booking and pay a fee of €10. If you do not pay this fee and arrive at the airport without your boarding pass you will be charged a higher fee of €20 to check-in.
Passengers who have checked-in online and are traveling with checked baggage, must present themselves at the baggage drop-off counter at least 40 minutes before scheduled flight departure. If you arrive at the bag drop-off counter and you do not have your printed boarding pass you will have to pay a €40 boarding pass re-issue fee.
All Wizz Air passengers must present valid travel documents at check-in. Passengers flying within the EU with non-EU travel documents must present themselves at the Wizz Air check-in desks to have their documents checked and stamped before flying. Non-EU passengers without the stamp will not be allowed to board.
To check baggage with Wizz Air there is an extra fee. Passengers can check up to 6 bags with a maximum weight of 32kg each. website very user unfriendly; tries over again to scare you into purchasing larger cabin bag space or hold luggage or priority pass- very longwinded and unnecessary. Very cramped seats-my partner was in pain from his knees being rammed into the seat in front for 3.5 hours; no updates at all during the flight, except for telling the crew to prepare for landing. No food or water unless paid for. Would avoid travelling with Wizzair in the futureMaz

The journey out to Riga was fine - the staff were generally attentive. The flight back was organised chaos with Russian and Latvian children running all over the plane and screaming and shouting at each other. There was even a fight at one time and the staff did little, if anything to stop this. I am thinking of complaining to Wizz airlines not least because of the safety aspect of it.Happy Boy
I reserved seats behind the extra leg room and was asked to swap with those in front, in the extra leg room, as there was a child. When I agreed, I was moved to not a window seat, which is what I booked due to my fear of flying. If we was literally just swapping rows, why did I have to change my seat position too? And, when booking why are people not warned that children cannot sit in those seats?!Vikki
Wizzair left 2 hours late of Budapest to Liverpool, because of this delay the Long stay carpark at Liverpool Airport wanted to charge me £85 extra! Never fly again with Wizzair and also find another carpark at Liverpool!jenny
The cabin staff were very grumpy and looked very miserable. On the journey back I heard a conversation that the pilot was in training, I'm polish so I understood the conversation. Myself and my son were very scared at the bumpy landing on return journey. Twice before we have flown Wizz and the staff are never friendly or happy.No nickname

Flight was late more then one hour. We had to wait and because of this I lost my train ticket from Luton to Matlock Bath. Not mentioning they put us in a bus from the airport and we had to wait in there 30 min. We were looking like monkeys in cages kept outside under the sun. If staff is saying that they sell train tickets for train they should change right away my ticket for a later time and not laugh in my face saying that is not possible. This is not the service I paid for. The announcements were made only in English. It was a flight to from moldova and the plane was full with people frim moldova. Normaly it should be spoken the language of the country you are flying in. Even in English wasn't possible to understand. I want refund for my lost ticket for train. Anyway I am planning to write to your CEO. Thanks for reading my message. By the way The flight to moldova also also late. You should think about what service you are offering to people.Ludmila
