Wizz Air, also written wizzair, is a Hungarian low cost airline with headquarters at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The company was founded in 2003 in London. The Hungarian airline operates low cost flights to 66 destinations in Europe and Asia. Similar to the budget carrier Ryanair, Wizz Air prefers to fly to smaller, secondary airports outside of larger cities.
Web check-in is available from 14 days to 3 hours before scheduled flight departure. If you want to check-in at the airport you will have to choose that option during booking and pay a fee of €10. If you do not pay this fee and arrive at the airport without your boarding pass you will be charged a higher fee of €20 to check-in.
Passengers who have checked-in online and are traveling with checked baggage, must present themselves at the baggage drop-off counter at least 40 minutes before scheduled flight departure. If you arrive at the bag drop-off counter and you do not have your printed boarding pass you will have to pay a €40 boarding pass re-issue fee.
All Wizz Air passengers must present valid travel documents at check-in. Passengers flying within the EU with non-EU travel documents must present themselves at the Wizz Air check-in desks to have their documents checked and stamped before flying. Non-EU passengers without the stamp will not be allowed to board.
To check baggage with Wizz Air there is an extra fee. Passengers can check up to 6 bags with a maximum weight of 32kg each. Prices are significantly lower when you pay for checked luggage online instead of at the airport. Prices to check bags vary depending upon the flight time. For exact pricing information, visit the Wizz Air website.
All passengers are allowed one small piece of cabin baggage to fit under the seat in front of them with maximum dimensions 42 x 32 x 25cm. For €10 passengers may bring a larger piece of cabin baggage to place in the overhead compartment with maximum dimensions of 56 x 45 x 25cm.

not happy about having to pay extra to sit together was given seats miles apart until paid £38.00 but funnily enough had seats together coming backcraig
The base price restriction to one unusually small bag was annoying [and no signs of it being monitored anyway]. The departure 'gate' at Budapest was in a shed - very agricultural.one
The flight tickets are cheap but the total cost of the travels have raised due to flight cancellationKate
I did not like and not understand why I had to pay cabin baggage. OK,is LARGE BUT other FLIGHT companies did not pay.ileana
After i paid the tikets we was place in standby and plane was late for that about 30 min till they find some seats they was selling more tickets then seats on the board that is really disappointingJohn
would of been nice to focus on something like a tv or clock with flight data on, any interaction is better than noneNumpty
The flight was delayed for 1,30hours and the waiting in line,on your foot and with luggage is just terrible!Vmaneva
the flight was late by 30min on both times at the minimum, so it would be good if they got to the airport on time and to the destination on time aswellrigis
website very user unfriendly; tries over again to scare you into purchasing larger cabin bag space or hold luggage or priority pass- very longwinded and unnecessary. Very cramped seats-my partner was in pain from his knees being rammed into the seat in front for 3.5 hours; no updates at all during the flight, except for telling the crew to prepare for landing. No food or water unless paid for. Would avoid travelling with Wizzair in the futureMaz
Really bad service from wizz air never ever go again with wizz air if have choice give 0 star so I will happy to give wizz air 0 star. Thank you!Kiani
Did not appreciate the long wait in the transfer bus to the plane due to people checking in late. Maybe at a given time we should be allowed to board and let the late comers wait.Pinky
wizzair is horrible airline I would never use again. I booked flight online and made boarding pass online just to find out later that they made my boarding pass for the return flight not for the first flight then it took so long to make boarding pass that I missed a flight even I came 2h before flight and they charged me additional 30€ for boarding pass. NEVER USE AGAIN!!!!Ervin
Not good value because despite being at the airport an hour and five minutes before the flight when only 40 minutes were stated if only traveling with hand luggage I missed my flight due to three flights traveling within 90 minutes and Doncaster only had two scanners working. I later found out whilst at Doncaster airport this is a frequent problem and maybe you should warn passengers using this airport to alow more time. The next flight was not until Wed and I would have to pay an additional 60 pounds to travel. The Swissport desk was without staff and another airport worker hunted down the person needed. Furthermore, I had to pay for another flight to Poznan later that day and a 20 pound booking fee. So half of the 85 pound return ticket was wasted, I had to pay another 89 pounds to get to Poznan. I then needed to wait in the aiport until 2.30 am and pay 64zt or about 12 pounds to get the train to Warsaw arriving not on the Sunday afternoon but Monday morning at 7.10 am with hardly any sleep. Lost half a day and a night that I had paid for. Would you be willing to discount a ticket for me when I return to Warsaw the first week in May 2017 or in July 2017?This question is inappropriate on any questionaire
Have never flown Whizz before and will avoid them in the future. Chose my flight option, but just before the final price came up, Whizz added over £45 to the price which I thought was out of order, but paid since it was still the cheapest option, and so paid the price grumpily. Then i discovered I neeeded to pay for my luggage! - after Id paid, so couldnt back out, which was another £71for two people. Whizz's website is sneaky and underhand in order to get people to pay more and I will tell everyone what they are like and will avoid. What is shown on the first instance is what you should pay, and any extras to pay afterwards should be clearly shown.Fred
I was particularly impressed with the way the air hostess on my return flight dealt with my claustrophobic condition.Alfonso
while waiting for plane (outside) should be more space to be under roof if raining... lots of kids getting wet!!!!kev
The journey out to Riga was fine - the staff were generally attentive. The flight back was organised chaos with Russian and Latvian children running all over the plane and screaming and shouting at each other. There was even a fight at one time and the staff did little, if anything to stop this. I am thinking of complaining to Wizz airlines not least because of the safety aspect of it.Happy Boy
I reserved seats behind the extra leg room and was asked to swap with those in front, in the extra leg room, as there was a child. When I agreed, I was moved to not a window seat, which is what I booked due to my fear of flying. If we was literally just swapping rows, why did I have to change my seat position too? And, when booking why are people not warned that children cannot sit in those seats?!Vikki
Wizzair left 2 hours late of Budapest to Liverpool, because of this delay the Long stay carpark at Liverpool Airport wanted to charge me £85 extra! Never fly again with Wizzair and also find another carpark at Liverpool!jenny
The cabin staff were very grumpy and looked very miserable. On the journey back I heard a conversation that the pilot was in training, I'm polish so I understood the conversation. Myself and my son were very scared at the bumpy landing on return journey. Twice before we have flown Wizz and the staff are never friendly or happy. No nickname
