Flybe is a British low cost regional airline. With headquarters at Exeter International Airport in Devon, England, the airline also has 14 bases across the UK, with Southampton being its largest. The Flybe fleet consists of 68 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, Embraer E-175, and E-195 which fly to over 100 destinations, mainly in the UK, but also in Ireland and continental Europe. Flybe's frequent flyer programme is called Rewards4all.
There are 3 ways to check-in online:
Online check-in: Passengers with hand luggage can simply print out their boarding pass and proceed directly to airport security. They can do so 36 to 2 hours before scheduled flight departure. Those with checked bags will need to head to bag drop first.
Automatic check-in (email): Online check-in is also available during the online booking process via the “automatic check-in” option. 36 to 15 hours prior to flight departure passengers will then receive their boarding pass via email. Those travelling with hand luggage can pass directly through security with their boarding pass whilst passengers with checked baggage will first need to head to Flybe Bag Drops.
Automatic check-in (mobile boarding pass): An electronic boarding pass is available for mobiles. This service is available during the online booking process. Passengers simply need to select “automatic check-in” whereby they will receive a bar-coded boarding pass on their mobile 36 to 15 hours before their flight is scheduled to depart.
Checked baggage is free on Flybe flights depending on the passengers’ class of travel.
Just fly: An extra fee must be paid for hold luggage.
Get more: Included in the ticket price is 1 bag not exceeding 20kg in weight.
All In: Included in the ticket price are 2 bags with a combined weight of a maximum 40kg.
Passengers may choose to add hold baggage online up to 2 hours before flight departure, via the Customer Call Centre up to 4 hours before their flight, or during the online booking process. Adding hold luggage during the online booking process is the cheapest option.
One cabin bag, with the dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23cm and a maximum weight of 10kg, may be taken onboard a Flybe flight. However, the class of travel determines baggage height and weight restrictions.
Just Fly: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels) and a maximum weight of 10kg.
Get More: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels) and a maximum weight of 10kg.
All In: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels), in addition to a laptop or handbag.
An extra fee will be charged to store all luggage exceeding the aforementioned weight and dimension restrictions in the hold. However, Get More passengers are an exception on the condition that their luggage weighs no more than 20kg and that they do not have any hold luggage. Similarly, All in passengers can check in 2 pieces of hold luggage weighing a maximum 40kg. Thus, if their hand luggage does not meet the required weight and dimensions, it will be stored free of charge in the hold on the condition that all their baggage combined does not exceed 40kg in weight.

Held up at Amsterdam for 1 hour. Two women had checked in but not made it to the plane. Staff spotted this through head counting and checking against the register. They checked hadn't been left on board. Although some passengers were getting restless I would say staff followed procedures and ensured our safety.Bernard
think it is unreasonable to ask passengers to pay £15 each to book seats together on plane, if you are travelling as a couple it is obvious that you want to sit together, we paid on way out but didnt on way back and we were sat across the aisle from each otherJohn
Would have been fine if Air France hadn't been on strike again. I was on a 7:20 flight and left Paris at about 19:00. Fliight was cancelled and I wasn't notifiedMary
Very friendly cabin crew .... Unhappy that someone nicked my baggage space on way back and I had to put my baggage by my feet on floor and they wasn't told to move their luggage. However other than that overall happy travellerDanny
The flight there was great, on the way back it had a delay of over an hour. I missed the last train from Manchester to Blackpool and had to pay £200 for a taxi.Carole
The flight was delayed by 30 minutes the information at the airport was very late in being provided e d.Bookworm44
The flight out was 3.5 hours delayed, causing me to miss my son's engagement celebrations which were the main reason for my flight. I would have paid more for a more reliable service.Kaye
Ask fly be to allocate more staff to their check in desk and fix their it problem as we missed the early flightLes chivers
The outward bound flight was delayed by 2 hours which meant we missed our coach connection for 15:40 at Glasgow coach station! We then had to pay a further £54 for another coach which didn't leave until 19:20.This then meant we had to get a taxi once we had arrived in Aviemore as we had missed our lift costing us a further £15. I would like to look into having this money reimbursed as I am not happy with all the subsequent problems that occurred due to the original delay. I would appreciate it if you could reply to this specific concern. Thank you.Charming
Flight was over 2 hours late. Poor information on cabin baggage allowance. Because we flew with a contractor (Stobart air) rather than Flybe, allowance was 7kg rather than 10kg. lybe rep told us by telephone that allowance was 10kg, this was incorrect.Charles
We were on the runway then turn back to pick some customers from another flight!! We waited 2 hours in the plane, hot and sticky. Not pleasant. Steward were niceCecile
Plane an hour late followed by baggage sent to wrong terminal no one there to get help boarder control helped us (not their job) had to wait one and a half hours for baggage to eventually get there not great at 1 aam in the morning ..... left a luggage guy to deal with passengers until complaints were made that his boss should be down apologising ...Astwith
The flight was late leaving Southampton but made up time and we arrived just after the schedule timeJim
Flight did not get off the ground as a warning light appeared in the cockpit immediately prior to take off. Plane returned to apron and all passengers were offloaded and made to wait 3 hours before being told it would be cancelled. No drinks or food were offered. Lousy service.Mr Davidson
Disappointed, 2 hours of my weekend spent on delays. Ridiculous when you are not traveling 55 minutes up the country! Bad form flybeJo
The flight from Exeter to Newcastle was delayed, due to the plane being brand new, and it was still in being tested. This I feel is not a reason why a plane should be late, and off the back of this I was late for a meeting. I feel flybe let me down and I am very dissatisfied and would like you to raise this with them. The staff could have reduced the delay time, but chose not too.Jacob Cribb
why is it more expensive to book with you that to book with Flybe? ( i shall know better next time I book, it will bee direct with Flybe)eileen
I was anxious about checking in at Lyon airport on the return journey as I was not completely certain whether I should heave checked in on-lineEmma
Flight on time, smooth take off and landing, very pleasant staff, 1 guy and 1 girl who served me drinks, can't remember name but absolutely 100%. Thanks again !!!Rascal
The price was reasonable, but I was charged an extra £18.32 with no explanation as to what it was for.Rita
