Flybe is a British low cost regional airline. With headquarters at Exeter International Airport in Devon, England, the airline also has 14 bases across the UK, with Southampton being its largest. The Flybe fleet consists of 68 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, Embraer E-175, and E-195 which fly to over 100 destinations, mainly in the UK, but also in Ireland and continental Europe. Flybe's frequent flyer programme is called Rewards4all.
There are 3 ways to check-in online:
Online check-in: Passengers with hand luggage can simply print out their boarding pass and proceed directly to airport security. They can do so 36 to 2 hours before scheduled flight departure. Those with checked bags will need to head to bag drop first.
Automatic check-in (email): Online check-in is also available during the online booking process via the “automatic check-in” option. 36 to 15 hours prior to flight departure passengers will then receive their boarding pass via email. Those travelling with hand luggage can pass directly through security with their boarding pass whilst passengers with checked baggage will first need to head to Flybe Bag Drops.
Automatic check-in (mobile boarding pass): An electronic boarding pass is available for mobiles. This service is available during the online booking process. Passengers simply need to select “automatic check-in” whereby they will receive a bar-coded boarding pass on their mobile 36 to 15 hours before their flight is scheduled to depart.
Checked baggage is free on Flybe flights depending on the passengers’ class of travel.
Just fly: An extra fee must be paid for hold luggage.
Get more: Included in the ticket price is 1 bag not exceeding 20kg in weight.
All In: Included in the ticket price are 2 bags with a combined weight of a maximum 40kg.
Passengers may choose to add hold baggage online up to 2 hours before flight departure, via the Customer Call Centre up to 4 hours before their flight, or during the online booking process. Adding hold luggage during the online booking process is the cheapest option.
One cabin bag, with the dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23cm and a maximum weight of 10kg, may be taken onboard a Flybe flight. However, the class of travel determines baggage height and weight restrictions.
Just Fly: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels) and a maximum weight of 10kg.
Get More: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels) and a maximum weight of 10kg.
All In: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels), in addition to a laptop or handbag.
An extra fee will be charged to store all luggage exceeding the aforementioned weight and dimension restrictions in the hold. However, Get More passengers are an exception on the condition that their luggage weighs no more than 20kg and that they do not have any hold luggage. Similarly, All in passengers can check in 2 pieces of hold luggage weighing a maximum 40kg. Thus, if their hand luggage does not meet the required weight and dimensions, it will be stored free of charge in the hold on the condition that all their baggage combined does not exceed 40kg in weight.

Held up at Amsterdam for 1 hour. Two women had checked in but not made it to the plane. Staff spotted this through head counting and checking against the register. They checked hadn't been left on board. Although some passengers were getting restless I would say staff followed procedures and ensured our safety.Bernard
think it is unreasonable to ask passengers to pay £15 each to book seats together on plane, if you are travelling as a couple it is obvious that you want to sit together, we paid on way out but didnt on way back and we were sat across the aisle from each otherJohn
Would have been fine if Air France hadn't been on strike again. I was on a 7:20 flight and left Paris at about 19:00. Fliight was cancelled and I wasn't notifiedMary
Ask fly be to allocate more staff to their check in desk and fix their it problem as we missed the early flightLes chivers
Very friendly cabin crew .... Unhappy that someone nicked my baggage space on way back and I had to put my baggage by my feet on floor and they wasn't told to move their luggage. However other than that overall happy travellerDanny
I'm a really nervous flyer , so quicker we take off the better. So try to be prompt and not board passengers and then say we are refuelling ?Mell
Edreamers showed cheaper price but while in the process of booking increased the price by 20£ I'll never book through you againSheena
Seats on plane not at all comfortable. Very upright and did not fit comfortably when sitting against the back of seatShirley
I have to see that success is more often arriving late for the plane, with a consequence the loss of connections such as trains or buses. these things going on in the evening, with tiredness, bring stressbac
Staff very efficient and pleasant. More knee room than expected. Delay of 1 hour on return was tryingNo nickname
I could not use the voucher reference emailed to me which lead me to book the flight. This is disappointing and next time I might not trust the enticing advert with X% off.S
The cabin weight should be a little more flexible for luggage I booked a ticked with no extra suit case some Airlines let you take a laptop separately this is difficult to do under 10 kilo 12 kilo would be better or one extra computer bagDavid
Travelling to Southampton from Newcastle not a problem. I was allowed to put my bag into the hold free of charge, their suggestion, as I'm physically disabled. I also bought expensive perfume in the duty free for a Christmas present. My return flight however was a very uncomfortable and made me feel quite angry. I had to have assistance and the airport kindly brought a wheel chair. I suffer from a neurological problem which affects my legs and feet causing pain. My route home it had started to hurt. The ground staff told me I wasn't allowed to put my bag through unless I paid £40. So I had to have my not too light bag on my Knees!!! My perfume was taken out of all it's packaging by a young inexperienced rude girl. When she tried to wrap the outer cellophane wrapper back she advised me to use sellotape as she'd made quite a mess of it!!!! It transpired that Newcastle should have put it into a sealed packet. No excuse for rudeness!!!! Would I fly with Flybe again?I visit my son three times a year in Portsmouth. No past problems with Flybe. My next trip I think I'll take the train. I don't know if it was because I was in a wheelchair, I do hope not. Seriously I feel I'm not going to take the risk again. Everything else was fine especially flight attendants.Magnanimous
Flight from Exeter to Norwich...perfect! Flight from Norwich to Exeter...horrendous, worst ever!!!!?
No complaints about the aircraft or staff.I have made a complaint about the numerous bags that were classed as cabin and should really have been in the hold.Smith
Very efficient and friendly. Despite delays due to fog at Berlin Airport we were kept well informed of progress. Perhaps would have preferred to have waited in the airport than on plane.Rosie
A friendly budget airline. A complimentary packet of biscuits, crisps and/or a drink would be a nice touch though!Cat Moore
Overall I found staff I come into contact with very helpful and friendly. But however my experience was already at a low because of online booking was not allowed to complete my booking even though paid for I could not book assistant s as disabled so until I got to air port did not know whether I was going to my cousins wedding or not its is the first time I have flown with you I do not think I would again as to stressful shame otherwise I would have gave you top marks in all other areas I do not expect a response from you eitherMiss L Jones.
flight out and back both delayed by 15mins and 1hr my son and I got split up seating wise on the plane on way back disappointedScotty
As a previous nervo As a previously extremely anxious flyer..to see a double prop plane scared the ...out of me..i have travelled all over europe in the last two years..with jet engines..i honestly believed prop planes were no longer in service...saying that the flights were smooth if somewhat noisey which was disconcerning...shay
