Flybe is a British low cost regional airline. With headquarters at Exeter International Airport in Devon, England, the airline also has 14 bases across the UK, with Southampton being its largest. The Flybe fleet consists of 68 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, Embraer E-175, and E-195 which fly to over 100 destinations, mainly in the UK, but also in Ireland and continental Europe. Flybe's frequent flyer programme is called Rewards4all.
There are 3 ways to check-in online:
Online check-in: Passengers with hand luggage can simply print out their boarding pass and proceed directly to airport security. They can do so 36 to 2 hours before scheduled flight departure. Those with checked bags will need to head to bag drop first.
Automatic check-in (email): Online check-in is also available during the online booking process via the “automatic check-in” option. 36 to 15 hours prior to flight departure passengers will then receive their boarding pass via email. Those travelling with hand luggage can pass directly through security with their boarding pass whilst passengers with checked baggage will first need to head to Flybe Bag Drops.
Automatic check-in (mobile boarding pass): An electronic boarding pass is available for mobiles. This service is available during the online booking process. Passengers simply need to select “automatic check-in” whereby they will receive a bar-coded boarding pass on their mobile 36 to 15 hours before their flight is scheduled to depart.
Checked baggage is free on Flybe flights depending on the passengers’ class of travel.
Just fly: An extra fee must be paid for hold luggage.
Get more: Included in the ticket price is 1 bag not exceeding 20kg in weight.
All In: Included in the ticket price are 2 bags with a combined weight of a maximum 40kg.
Passengers may choose to add hold baggage online up to 2 hours before flight departure, via the Customer Call Centre up to 4 hours before their flight, or during the online booking process. Adding hold luggage during the online booking process is the cheapest option.
One cabin bag, with the dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23cm and a maximum weight of 10kg, may be taken onboard a Flybe flight. However, the class of travel determines baggage height and weight restrictions.
Just Fly: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels) and a maximum weight of 10kg.
Get More: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels) and a maximum weight of 10kg.
All In: 1 piece of luggage not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23cm in dimension (including handles and wheels), in addition to a laptop or handbag.
An extra fee will be charged to store all luggage exceeding the aforementioned weight and dimension restrictions in the hold. However, Get More passengers are an exception on the condition that their luggage weighs no more than 20kg and that they do not have any hold luggage. Similarly, All in passengers can check in 2 pieces of hold luggage weighing a maximum 40kg. Thus, if their hand luggage does not meet the required weight and dimensions, it will be stored free of charge in the hold on the condition that all their baggage combined does not exceed 40kg in weight.

When I got to the airport, staff members told me that that the flight had been booked twice. This means that I have paid double what I should of due to the fault of your companyRooney
We need to pay extra money for check-in and luggages and these things are not obviously showing to us, which I don't like.Joe-z
Good trip, the only down side was the £7.50 per seat per flight. I don't think you should have to pay this when travelling with a minor. Extra charge doesn't make you an economy airline.Debby
Outward flight (Aer Lingus) cancelled due to high winds. Unable to get to Cardiff on time so couldn't use return flight (Flybe - no refund).Tony
I was shocked that I had to pay £100 because my bag was over the 15kgs mark What a waste of money and time having a bus transport us to the airplane as it was only a very short distanceIrish
Ask fly be to allocate more staff to their check in desk and fix their it problem as we missed the early flightLes chivers
Long legs won't fit in economy! I have 36" inside leg and could barely fit, not comfortable. Only a short flight fortunately.Fiona
On the flight out the space for seats was very very small on Flybe, of which was late, it appears flybe are late pretty often, but the Easyjet was very good ontime and alot more comfortableMackster
the baggage weight should be made clearer when booking your flight 23kg not 25kg and that's 15kg in suitcase and 8kg hand baggagesue
I booked a flight was then informed when I called to confirm further details of the flight that my booking had not gone through so I rebooked the same flight at a extra £160 to then discover from my bank I had been charged for the flights on both occasions, when I first called to report this the staff were clueless and unable to understand and rescue my issue, in fairness when I called the specialist refund team they were helpful and reimburse me.Anna
Southampton to Manchester was easy and I thought this is the way to go only taking cabin luggage. Coming back I wished I put my case in the hold as it took forever for them to scan the case and set me on my way.Crazy Cat Lady
While doing booking on line, suddenly they increase the already given fare price, this is not correct, this should be stoppedjaf
The confirmation stated that it was paid for with a credit card which is not mine. trying to get in contact with Flybe was impossible, as it continuously stated their business hours but was never open. It caused us great concern as we wondered if our cheap flight was charged to someone else what would be charged to ours? Totally unsatisfactory, something we could have done without whilst going to funeral of my brother. an explanation is the minimum I would expect! Gerhard KrauseGerhard
Friendly staff but flight is over priced! When checking in online you cannot checkin/print your return e-ticket which and would highly recommend that this is addressed for convenience and efficiency.JBP
My grandson was thrilled that the cabin crew announced over the PA system on landing the fact it was his first flight and hoping he had enjoyed it!AngieA
I was very disappointed as i wasn’t able to board the flight due to poor service and misleading directions from the guards at the airport. My flight was 1.40pm. I reached the airport 2 hours earlier and checked in. I was in queue for the security check for an hour and as my flight was boarding , i asked the guard to let me through. The guard insisted me to stay on queue and told me the flight would wait for me. As i believed the guard because Munich airport has a good reputation. Instead, i missed my flight as i was late for few mins and i wasn’t allowed to go in the flight although the flight hadn’t took off yet. I hope flybe would file a complain and reimburse my lost as i was not in fault at all. Please do seek into this situation. ThanksYen Zhong
Flight was delayed by roughly half an hour, but staff more than made up for it with their positive attitudes.Faith
would be NICE if flights actually left at published times. Both outbound and inbound flights were late and by some timenone
I haven't been on a flight for over 10 yrs so was abit nervous but air steward and stewardesses were so nice happy and made me feel Safe ! Thank you XAubs
They emailed me my flight was cancelled suddenly before I left home to airport in early morning, later on they arranged me another flight to East Midlands, and a bus took us to Birmingham airport, so I was 1.5 hours late to start my work in Touchwood shopping centre, a little bit disappointed for this.Jing
